Role of tarpana with triphala ghrita in myopia: a case study

Near-sightedness or myopia, is a condition of the eye where light focuses in front of the retina. This causes distant objects to be blurry while close objects appear normal. Near-sightedness is the most common eye problem and is estimated to affect 22% of the population. Uncorrected near-sightedness is one of the most common causes of vision loss globally. The modern management is very costly and not so effective. So alternate option is through Ayurveda is by Tarpana procedure that is indicated in Timira in ancient texts and is very effective in such cases. So here in our study we tried Tarpana in a myopic patient having vision acuity 6/60 both eye since 5 yrs that has been improved to 6/24 BE.
